We must act to insure passenger safety. The current lack of safety & security is not acceptable especially after 9/11. On 5/12/05, we were on the Carnival Destiny near Aruba when an elderly couple disappeared without a trace.

Major Cruise Lines have Rabbis aboard Cruise Ships for Jewish Holidays but still have no independent law enforcement "Sea Marshalls"

Major cruise lines like Holland America, Crystal, Celebrity, Cunard and Royal Caribbean now have rabbis aboard their ships for the most important holidays...

Shouldn't they have Sea Marshalls or other independent law enforcement staff - see www.projectsafecruise.blogspot.com

In addition to providing their ships with the accoutrements of worship, cruise lines now offer kosher food and kosher utensils. Supervised by a mashgiach, frozen kosher food is brought aboard ships, heated just before serving and presented, still in their original sealed wraps, which are opened only at the moment of dining. Tables have been set with mint-fresh dishware and silverware, similarly unsealed only at the moment of service...
